Requirements for applying for assistance from the KCI Servant’s Heart Foundation
  • Applications should be prepared according to the instructions provided on the grant application form.
  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
  • The KCI Servant’s Heart Foundation Board will review the applications and will make recommendations regarding funding.
  • Applications will be evaluated using an established set of criteria.
  • Funding will be granted once per calendar year for approved applications.
Eligibility Criteria — the proposal must meet the following eligibility criteria in order to be considered for funding.
  • Proposals should be for community-based programs, benefiting children, education or healthcare.
  • The proposed program should reflect local community priorities.
  • The proposed program should focus primarily on the geographic areas where KCI employees work and live.
  • Applicants should be nonprofit corporations with tax exempt status and not foundations.
Exclusions — the KCI Servant’s Heart Foundation does not support grants for the following purposes:
  • For-profit entities
  • Individuals
  • Schools
  • Scholarships
  • Endowments
  • Routine operating expenses
  • Tickets, advertising or sponsorships for fundraising events
